Aircraft Wheel and Brake specialist becomes Honeywell Authorised Service Centre
Rotable Repairs Ltd, one of UK’s leading providers of Wheel and Brake MRO services signs multi-year parts supply and license agreement with leading Aviation Manufacturer Honeywell to become the UK’s first Authorised Wheel and Brake Service Centre.
The agreement, which came into effect month beginning January 2018 will increase customer value and support. This will allow Rotable Repairs to offer competitive lead times, a low, dedicated pricing structure and a trustworthy service for all Honeywell products.
Bryan Croft, Sales and Marketing Director of Rotable Repairs Ltd stated: “The agreement further establishes our growing relationship with Honeywell and our requirement to provide our customers with greater cost improvements and supply support. Becoming an Authorised Service Centre complements our recent acquisition by the Desser Group which has since enabled us to offer greater support and pricing for a range of mediums including tyres, supported by Watts Aviation.”
Rotable Repairs Ltd became part of the Desser Group towards the end of 2017 and has been working with the group to improve performance across the board by offering a reduction in product lead-times, pricing and increased performance.

Rotable Repairs and Aviation Tyre Specialists, Watts Aviation debut new relationship at the annual MRO Middle East show in Dubai.
Stand 924/927 saw experienced Sales Manager representation from Jordan Whibley, Rotable Repairs and Glenn Jones, Watts Aviation. The team were on hand to discuss Wheel, Brake and Tyre requirements with new and existing customers.
Long-time friends and colleagues PDQ Airspares were also on hand providing a wealth of knowledge on Boeing & Airbus aftermarket consumables.

The Dublin Aviation Summit was an unknown for Rotable Repairs but certainly turned out to be fantastic opportunity as we found out. The drinks reception was a particular success clearing most of the Hall and bringing everyone together for a networking event which we will find hard to match. Thanks to our exhibition partners and good friends at PDQ, Reheat, ASI, Skyline and GCAM who complimented our offering and attracted their own customer base to the Airport Bar.

ASL Airlines Re-Signs Three Year Contract
Rotable Repairs soars into 2017 following the re-signing of a three-year deal with Dublin-based and Europe strong ASL Airlines. The extended cost-per-landing; cost-per-event agreement sees Rotable Repairs continue to offer a dedicated customer service, competitive rates and MRO expertise to ASL Airlines Ireland’s expanding fleet of ATR, Airbus A300 and Boeing 737 aircraft.

ASL Airlines operates B757 transatlantic passenger services from Shannon and Dublin to North America for Aer Lingus and also operates B737 charter passenger services throughout Europe from Dublin, Shannon, Cork and Knock Airports.
The airline also operates a fleet of turboprop and jet aircraft for express parcel integrators throughout Europe and the Middle East. Rotable Repairs’ recent 2016 expansion, which includes a multi-unit Logistics Centre, has allowed the Wheel & Brake Specialists to allocate, improve and further expand production space for additional contractual work.

To increase our capacity and to further assist our customers for collections and deliverys, Rotable Repairs has added another sign written van to its fleet, the additional Citroen Relay is identical with the exception that we have included the Luton Box with a side curtain to accommodate pallet side loading.
Rotable Repairs currently offers to collect and deliver to its customers sites free of charge for all London Airports and the South East of England subject to availability.

Rotable Repairs and Aircrafters, Inc. sign exclusive European Distribution Agreement at Farnborough
Aircrafters, Inc., a New Castle, Delaware based leading supplier of commercial Aircraft Wheels and Brakes and Rotable Repairs, a South of England based Aviation Wheel and Brake repair specialists agree on an exclusive stocking agreement.
The long-term and exclusive consignment agreement provides both companies with the ability to offer key benefits to their European customer base, which includes a significant inventory of lucrative and relevant materials, serviceable parts and new advance exchange options when urgently required.
The new agreement allocates Rotable Repairs exclusive rights to a large inventory managed out of their own Southend-on-Sea based facility, enabling them to access a pool of wheel and brake materials from the likes of Goodrich, Messier and Honeywell, whilst servicing a range of aircrafts such as B737’s, B757’s, B767’s, A320 and A321.
Bryan Croft, Director, Rotable Repairs said: “We are excited to be able to offer our current clientele with a new level of support. The additional materials will be predominately available for sale but will also add an enhanced customer experience for those looking to lease, take advanced exchanges and position stock at line stations. Our aim being to reduce lead times, increase availability and assist our customers by helping them continue their day to day operation without disruption”
Aircrafters will experience a passive increase in sales and access to a previously undeveloped European customer base, allowing them to provide materials into Europe through more logistically sound means.
Greg Coffield, Vice President, Aircrafters added: “We are very pleased with Rotable Repairs’ knowledge of the customer base in the European Aviation Market and the shared vision on how this joint effort will better support both of our customer base.”
The agreement was signed off during the Farnborough International Airshow 2016 and is worth an estimated 4 million USD in total.

Eddy Current Aircraft Wheel Inspection System – Veescan H
Aircraft Wheel & Brake Specialists Rotable Repairs build on their recent workshop production improvements by purchasing a new Veescan H – Eddy Current Aircraft Wheel Inspection System.
The Veescan H is a Wheel Inspection System able to be configured with a wide choice of probes and provides the flexibility to select the system most compatible with the required workload. Teamed with a full choice of operation modes, the Veescan H maximises the probability of automated crack detection.
By the same token the new equipment has provided Rotable Repair’s NDT (Non Destructive Testing) department with the ability to provide customers with a more detailed inspection report and an increase in hub inspection capacity.
Chris Whitt, Deputy Chief Inspector said: “The new equipment gives us a competitive edge on reliability and compliments our current system by potentially increasing the amount of hub inspections carried out at one time. Eddy Current wheel inspection is widely accepted throughout the world as a rapid and reliable means of maintaining the integrity of aircraft wheels.”
The current NDT (Non Destructive Testing) team have internally supported Rotable Repairs by supplying accurate and detailed inspections for over 41 years combined.
In addition to the new equipment the Non Destructive Testing unit has been a part of a companywide improvement scheme to create additional space within the workshop, providing the inspection staff with an additional 40% increase in usable space.
