Facility and Capacity Increase

Rotable Repairs today announces the expansion of its Essex based MRO facility. Both the CAA and FAA have given their authorisation to proceed with the development completing our most recent phase of expansion. The development has created new workshop space, storage and removed old office space from the main facility, it has transformed the premises and will allow us meet the growing expectations of the business. By exporting services from our main facility and reconfiguring existing floor space we have created dedicated workshops to significantly increase production capacity.

“Our development will enable us to successfully meet the rapidly growing demand for our products and to better serve our worldwide customer base” says Ray Coley, Managing Director.

The expansion was fuelled by the continued growth witnessed in recent months.

Reversing the MRO trend

Reversing the MRO trend

After a period of cut backs, the MRO market is starting to look more robust. Independent MROs like Rotable Repairs have had time to reflect on the markets requirements and refine their processes and services. Today’s market is focused on economies of scale, availability and service, SMEs either embrace their customer requirements or face decline. With this in mind, Rotable Repairs have decided to go on the offensive to tackle these subjects head on to provide an individually tailored service to its customers requirements.

To facilitate these changes, a new investment in personnel, infrastructure and capabilities is underway. Several new appointments have been made and vacancies exist for qualified engineers. A review of work processes and planned investment in test equipment, fixtures and IT is allowing the company to facilitate the expansion brought about by the development of Southend Airport and the slow but steady economic recovery.

The new Sales and Marketing Manager, Bryan Croft has high expectations for the business stating “my intention is to build on the company’s established reputation and progressive expansion to become first choice provider for aircraft wheel and brake repair‟. Rotable Repairs specialises in wheels, brakes and hydraulics for commercial, business and military aircraft and has a world-wide customer base.
