Rotable Repairs recently had the pleasure of working with USP College, to support Work Experience placements for Aidan Knight & Lewis Sharkey.
Our Work Experience program covers the fundamentals of a world class MRO overhaul business. Specialising in the repair and overhaul of wheels & brakes.
IE: Part 145 Quality, Cleaning of Wheels and Brakes, Aviation Goods in &Goods out, Overhaul of Aircraft Brakes, NDT Non-Destructive Testing , Overhaul of Wheels, Aviation storage of Stores & Paint Spray bays.
Work experience is key to building confidence and provide hands-on participation. It is also critical to support the growing demand for aviation engineers.
It was our pleasure to host and be part of their personal development.

Rotable Repairs awarded five-year contract by Boeing
Rotable Repairs are pleased to announce it has been awarded a five-year contract by Boeing to carry out tyre changes, heat pack replacement and overhaul on the Safran equipped Boeing 737-800 wheels and brakes fitted to the Royal Air Force’s (RAF) fleet of Poseidon MRA1 maritime patrol aircraft. The Poseidon aircraft supports anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface unit warfare, surveillance and long-range search and rescue for the UK.

Voyageur Airways signs up to Rotable Repairs

Voyageur Airways Sign Contract to Support Wheels, Brakes, and Tyres
After working with Rotable Repairs since last November Voyageur Airways has decided to take the plunge to benefit from preferential contract pricing on wheels, brakes, and tyres on its Bombardier CRJ100/200 and De Havilland Canada Dash 8 100/200 series aircraft. The agreement will see the Voyageur receiving contracted TAT’s and increased provisioning to support their fleet.
Voyageur Airways Limited, a Canadian licensed Air Operator and Approved Maintenance Organisation, their primary focus is on specialty air operations for dedicated customers. Voyageur prides themselves in providing their clients with creative solutions, proactive customer service, and an advanced safety management system. Client services include Charter, ACMI Contract Operations, Aeromedical, Special Mission Operations.

Loganair Extends Agreement

Loganair Extends Agreement
Rotable Repairs is pleased to announce the contract extension of its longest-standing customer Loganair. Loganair is in the process of extending and modifying it’s fleet and has chosen Rotable Repairs to support its SAAB 340, SAAB 2000, Embraer 135/145 aircraft. The fleet has doubled in size in the last year and the new 49,000 sqft wheel and brake maintenance facility has allowed us to absorb this work with no discernible impact on production.

Loganair flies over 70 routes across 6 European Countries and continues to expand its growing network with new routes being regularly opened.

Rotable Repairs Completes Relocation of New Wheel and Brake Facility.
Rotable Repairs Ltd, one of the UK’s leading providers of Wheel and Brake MRO services completes move to new impressive 49,000 sq. ft Wheel and Brake facility in Essex, United Kingdom.
With the CAA’s oversight, the phased transition went without a hitch or without impacting production. The company is now set to take triple it’s capacity, strategically planned the wheel and brake facility now houses a flowed and intuitive production line, new spring testers, wheel greasers, nitrogen system, inflation cages, automatic wheel inflation and new spray shop/oven eight times the size of their original. This equipment complements the companies existing build up rigs and torque loader which all adds to the workshop’s ability to process volume.
Already with a healthy worldwide customer base, the support of the wheel and brake manufacturers and substantial investment in material by Desser for pooling and consignments the maintenance at Rotable Repairs is set and ready to go.
With Watts Aviation having an additional 40,000 sq. ft. of tyre storage and with both companies supporting all platforms from general aviation, corporate and commercial Rotable Repairs can claim to be a true aviation wheel and brake specialist based on diversity and scope. Training and Technology have also seen investment as the management team feel it’s important that an influx of new staff should see benefit from training and from our experience gained over time.

Rotable Repairs Post-Brexit Approval Update.
On 31st January 2019 Rotable Repairs received a Confirmation of Issuance from EASA confirming the continuation of our EASA Approval from the 30th March 2019 as a third country approval.
Additionally, we are pleased to confirm that following a statement from the FAA UK country coordinators office our FAA approval will remain valid. At the moment, nothing is finalized. The FAA and UK continue to conduct meetings and are preparing for different scenarios.
This allows our Wheel and Brake facility to continue offering certification in accordance with EASA and FAA’s Approval guidelines.

Aircraft Wheel and Brake specialist expands due to rapid growth and requirement.
Rotable Repairs Ltd, one of UK’s leading providers of Wheel and Brake MRO services looks to expand its capacity and offering within the UK due to continued growth and customer requirement.
The Aircraft Wheel & Brake Specialist will soon be relocating both the office and workshop environment under one roof within a new and improved 49,000 sq. ft. wheel and brake facility which is scheduled for completion by Winter 2018.
The facility, based on Progress Road, Southend-on-Sea has been meticulously planned by utilising the accumulation of experience provided by new and existing staff to ensure a complete and efficient workshop experience which compliments growth, provides increasing customer benefits and additional support for the OEM’s it represents as a service centre.
With the additional 45,000 sq. ft of aircraft tyres held by our sister company Watts Aviation, Rotable Repairs can offer immediate off the shelf solutions for all of its customers.
Bryan Croft, Sales and Marketing Director of Rotable Repairs Ltd stated: “This is a very exciting time, Rotable Repairs are going to double its capacity for its current and new customers in the UK and Europe, the Desser acquisition has allowed the company to invest in new plant and equipment and draw resource and experience from the group. As well as the obvious benefits of being under one roof in a larger facility the investments made will additionally increase capacity through efficiencies. “
Rotable Repairs Ltd became part of Desser Holdings toward the end of 2017 and has been working with the group to improve its offering to the industry. The development of this facility is part of its ongoing strategy to increase its portfolio of aircraft wheel, brake, tyres and associated products.

Essex, UK June 26, 2018 – Rotable Repairs Ltd., one of the UK’s leading providers of wheel and brake MRO services and UK’s first Honeywell authorized Wheel and Brake Service Center, are maximising shop throughput by utilizing Bauer wheel assembly equipment.
Rotable Repairs Sales & Marketing Director, Bryan Croft says, “The A320 Main Wheel typically took 20 minutes and involved two people in our shop. With the Bauer 8071 Wheel Build-Up and 8731 Torquing System, it now only takes one person approximately 7 minutes to complete the same task.”
